A precision landing

What does it take to get an Optima filling system weighing over 70 metric tons from Schwäbisch Hall, Germany to Bloomington, Indiana, USA as fast as possible? Flawless logistics, steady nerves on the part of everyone involved – and an Antonov AN-124, one of the largest cargo planes in the world. In this case, the aircraft was additionally supported by a Boeing 747-F.

October 2020: An urgently needed, state-of-the-art vaccine filling system has to cross the Atlantic. Ten large semi-trailer trucks bring 16 special transport boxes, very carefully packed for the trip, to Frankfurt-Hahn and Amsterdam. From there, it's off to Chicago.

The next step, clearing customs, is carried out quickly and routinely. A day later, the entire system arrives on schedule in Bloomington, Indiana. A precision landing! Yet again. After all, this was by no means Optima's first major order to be shipped by airfreight. On the contrary – if we could get mileage credits, Optima would definitely be at the top of the list.

Similar size Optima machinery has already been shipped to China, Russia, India, South America, and many other countries. Innovative technology and quality from Schwäbisch Hall are in demand worldwide.
